Maxine's Bio


Bio of Maxine Rosenberg
A 26 year veteran art teacher, Maxine’s teaching experience on all grade levels have been at Chenango Valley CSD, Owego-Apalachin CSD and for the past 22 years at Susquehanna Valley CSD, Brookside Elementary. Maxine taught workshops in Polymer Clay at BCC for 5 years. Maxine is teaching workshops at her studio in Conklin, NY. Maxine has presented workshops for the New York State Art Teachers’ Association on the State Level as well as at Regional and Local NYSATA Conferences. She was a Co-President of Region Four NYSATA and was presented with the Art Teacher of the Year Award at their State Conference. She has worked in polymer clay for the past 15 years. Maxine’s experiences in polymer clay have included two - week long conferences at Art New England, Bennington, VT with Tory Hughes, a week at Karen Murphy’s Baby Island Lodge, Whidbey Island, Washington, studying with Pier Voulkas, Ravensdale 2000 - Polymer Clay Conference in Olympia, WA where she studied Silk Screen on PC with Gwen Gibson, Bookmaking with Meredith Arnold and Landscape Canes with Mike Buessler. One day workshops she attended were with Cynthia Toops in NYC, Elise Winters in Rochester, and Gwen Gibson at The Artiology Conference in Atlantic City, NJ. Maxine and Carol Bell enjoyed learning from each other while involved in their jewelry business. They produced polymer clay jewelry as CBMax. CBMax received jewelry awards at Roberson Craft Fair and Colorscape Chenango and enjoyed a 14 year run.
